Random Awesome, March 8
Random Awesome is back after a 3-month hiatus. Mark this Thursday (March 8, yes, this week) on your calendar. After a string of Williamsburg locations we’re giving Manhattan a shot. Specifically, Jimmy’s No 43 on 7th St, a location conveniently known for their excellent beer selection.
If you haven’t heard of Random Awesome before, let’s just it’s a very informal meetup (over drinks) for artists, designers and other creative people. No presentations, no pressure, business cards optional. It’s simply about getting interesting people in a room together.
There is a certain de facto art & tech bias, but really it’s about painters talking to supercomputer designers talking to big data miners talking to social media mavens talking to architects. You get the idea. If you don’t, open your mind real wide and read the previous sentence again.
Hope to see you Thursday!

Time for another Random Awesome meetup, scheduled for this Wednesday at Night of Joy in Williamsburg.
You know the drill: Freaks, geeks and artistes - we take all comers. No presentations, business cards optional - the focus is on awesome people and drinks. We believe firmly in getting people together in a room and watching what unfolds.
Last time at Loreley was a blast with lots of unexpected arrivals, let’s hope we can repeat it at short notice.

About Random Awesome
Random Awesome is a semi-regular meetup for people in the art and technology community. Hosted by Jer Thorp and Marius Watz, it’s intended as a low impact way of keeping in touch with people you’re otherwise too busy planning to meet.
The first Random Awesome meetup took place May 19, 2011 (at Banter), followed by the second Aug 22, 2011 (at Loreley Biergarten). We aim to do one approximately every other month, follow this Tumblr for news. A mailing list is in the works.
